Christina Washington has spent the past 20 years serving in various professional STEM and educational roles. Through her passion for STEM education, she founded Innovative Learning Solutions to improve academic achievement and increase exposure to quality programs. She also authored the Ms Pearl children's book series to get children excited about STEM learning.
In the past 5 years, Mrs. Washington has designed programs that served nearly 3,000 students in formal, informal, virtual, and in-person settings. As a licensed educator, Mrs. Washington taught Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Advanced Math, and Robotics for schools in Louisiana and Ohio. She also designed and delivered custom youth STEM programs for Louisiana State University, Southern Methodist University, University of Louisiana, Balwin Wallace University, and Cuyahoga Community College. Through partnership with Princeton Review, high schools, and universities, she also taught ACT test prep courses and served as a state test Administrator for the State of Louisiana Department of Education.

Since inception in 2015, Young Scholars has provided extracurricular programs, summer camps, workshops, tutoring and test prep programs for the community. Young Scholars has also provided internships and learning opportunities for students seeking STEM careers, and participated in college fairs and parental engagement efforts with the local public school system.
